The church is open every day during daylight hours and visitors are always very welcome. Information leaflets, plus other souvenirs, are available in the south west corner of the church, immediately to the left on entry. Visitors may wander at their leisure through the church and the churchyard. Subject to availability, we can offer escorted talks / walks around the church and churchyard that last approximately 45 minutes. This is particularly suitable for groups who may possibly be visiting C S Lewis’s house “The Kilns” on the same day. The recommended donation per individual is £5. Groups wishing to make a reservation should contact the verger, Adrian Wood, email.
Travelling to Holy Trinity by public transport
Regrettably there are no bus stops particularly near to the church. The following though is the recommended route that includes a pleasant walk through the old village of Headington Quarry.
From Oxford City Centre, take bus number 8 towards Barton. The bus stop in the High Street is number T2. Alight at Gladstone Road. Cross the London Road with caution and walk along Gladstone Road. Where the road turns sharply to the left, continue straight on – along firstly Cox’s Alley and then Coppock’s Alley. At the end turn left along Quarry Hollow and take the first right into Quarry School Place. Walk up the slope and veer right along Trinity Road that leads to the church.
Walking time – between 10 and 15 minutes.
